Local Dubai residents, Deb and Fraser, escape the heat of Dubai and spend summer in Campillos in the Andalucia region of Southern Spain.
According to Deb “The area is great for cycling as it has plenty of steady long climb’s.” Last year La Vuelta went through the village on Day Five of the Cordoba to Ronda leg.
One of their favourite routes takes them out of the village and down towards El Chorro which you may recognize from the final train scene in Sinatra’s Von Ryan’s Express.
